Privacy Policy

Plain-English detail on what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Robinson Tuition Ltd ("we", "us") provides one-to-one and small-group tuition. We are registered in England & Wales (company no. 15418712) and registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO registration ZB786879). For anything in this policy, contact joe@robinsontuition.com.

What we collect and why

Enquiries and bookings. When you contact us or book a free session, we collect the details you give us - typically your name, email or phone number, and information about your child's year group, subjects and goals. We use these to respond to you and to arrange and deliver tuition. Forms on this site are processed by Netlify, our website host.

Email updates. If you join our email list (for example through the free GCSE Maths Tracker page), we collect your email address and whether you are a parent, student, tutor or teacher. We use this to send you free resources and tool updates, plus occasional news and offers about Robinson Tuition services. We only send these because you asked us to - and you can opt out at any time.

Clients. If you become a client, booking, scheduling and payment information is handled through our client portal, which has its own privacy notice shown when you sign up.

Unsubscribing

Every marketing email we send tells you how to stop receiving them - either an unsubscribe link or a simple "reply to unsubscribe". You can also email joe@robinsontuition.com with "unsubscribe" at any time and we will remove you promptly. Opting out of marketing never affects any tuition you receive from us.

Our free tools

Progress you record in our free trackers (such as the GCSE Maths Tracker) is stored only in your own browser on your own device. It is never uploaded to us and we cannot see it. Clearing your browser data will erase it, which is why the tools include a backup button.

Cookies and analytics

With your consent (via the cookie banner), this site uses the Meta Pixel, and may use Google Analytics, to understand how visitors find and use the site and to measure our advertising. These tools set cookies and receive technical information such as pages visited and an anonymised IP address. If you decline the banner, they are not loaded. You can change your mind by clearing cookies for this site.

Who we share data with

We never sell your data. We share it only with the services that run our business - website hosting and form processing (Netlify), our client portal and payment provider for clients, and an email delivery service for sending updates - each acting under our instructions.

How long we keep it

Enquiry details are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards. Email list details are kept until you unsubscribe. Client records follow our Data Retention & Disposal Policy.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent at any time - just email us. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
